Pride Club is a club that includes all those who are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community at Cal Prep, along with those who want to learn more. Pride club activities can be fun and make people feel included. Making groups/assemblies talk more about lgbtq+ can spread out to people and help make those who may not identify as lgbtq+ to understand more. Even if you're straight, being a part of the lgbtq+ club can make students feel happy and supported. If you haven't come out yet, that's cool. This club is a safe place to talk and explore what you're feeling with fellow travelers.
Talking about lgbtq+ can also possibly prevent others from getting bullied because not many people are happy with those who are in the lgbtq+. Not everyone has to support lgbtq+ issues, but it's okay to respect those who make their choices.
