Our Story

Student Government, which is led by school representatives, ensures that changes are made to our community so that all are welcomed in our environment. We embody the four agreements. We strive to avoid hierarchy, bring our school closer, embrace our backgrounds and values of everyone in town halls, collecting school data, and other community building activities. We help ensure we have money for supplies and to plan fun events. As Student Body, we aim to remain authentic, bring inspiration and allow rising leaders to influence the future of Aspire Cal Prep.

A little about me: I draw in my free time, work out and have a pug named Edgar Allen Pug. I have been at aspire since third grade, I have three siblings, two of whom go to Cal Prep as well, and another who is a Cal Prep graduate.
Joevonie Sanchez
Treasurer
I'm Joevonie Sanchez, your new treasurer. I want our school to have events without worrying from where the funding is going to come.
I'm a 16 year old junior and I have an appreciation for art and media. I'm really into fashion and cinema especially when a movie production has an amazing wardrobe or costuming. When I'm hyper-fixated on a specific show, movie, or hobby I tend to make my whole personality around it. Sometimes I rope my friends around it, ( I annoy them with it sometimes )

I now coach middle school volleyball and am volleyball captain, and I have the position as school president. As school president I hope to do what’s right for you guys as well as the school. If you have any suggestions or recommendations please feel free to let me know! :) I hope to make this year one of our bests!
I was La Fuerza’s president this school year after being nominated by Ashley Ake, our former La Fuerza president. During that time I was mentored by Ms.Gonzalez who gave me helpful feedback and tips on my leadership skills, I have learned how to deal with conflict, work with others and the importance of time management, all of these skills needed for a vice president. As your vice president I will support the president, and work with cabinet members in order to find ways to better improve the school for all.
I am Mexican-American and love the color purple. Yes, my favorite animal
is the red panda. I adore eating tamales and spaghetti. I also enjoy Art and
dipping into a good book. Perhaps I am happiest when I am using acrylic or pastels to paint. I also sketch during my free time.

I take any recommendations you can offer for a good book to read so tell me. :) Hints: I love romance, comedy, action, and fantasy novels.
